As a chocolate lover, nutella has always been one of my favourite spreads to have on toast, use as a dip for berries and fruit, and to eat by the spoonful! Since transitioning to a vegan diet however I haven’t been able to eat nutella because it contains dairy. But at its core, nutella consists of 2 flavours: hazelnut and chocolate. So I thought, why not try to make my own nutella at home?
My healthy 3-ingredient nutella recipe is dairy free and refined sugar free, making it the perfect alternative to actual nutella!
Here’s the recipe:
- 1/2 cup hazelnut butter
- 2 tbsp date sugar
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- In a bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix until smooth.
